RESEARCH

Milda Al-Slamah (Sokolovaite) is a Lithuanian performance maker and a doctoral researcher who investigates the use of mental imagery in performance practice in a search for the Theatre of Consciousness – a certain type of performance practice which focuses on fluctuating states of spectator consciousness rather than the action on stage. Having obtained her BA in Theatre Practice, Performance Arts, at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London, Milda then completed her MA in Acting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she now continues her research in Theatre Directing at a doctoral level.
